Community-based services—including community health hubs and mobile street teams—are starting points to help people get the care they need.
Neighborhoods across LA County now have new or expanded health hubs. A powerful group of more than twenty local agencies is offering everything from job training and housing programs to medications for substance use disorders.
Our Services and Facilities Include:
Street Outreach: Meeting people on the streets to develop trust, distribute safer use supplies and link them to services.
Naloxone Distribution: Reversing overdoses by distributing Narcan (naloxone), a safe medication that reverses an opioid overdose.
Workplace Development: Preparing a generation of staff with lived experience to work in this field—providing training for hospitals, clinics, housing sites and more.
Everything is part of a long-term strategy that will lead to cleaner and safer streets, healthier people, and stronger communities.

The Skid Row Care Campus is a flagship facility for community safety and services. The campus, located on Skid Row, offers bathrooms, showers, and laundry—as well as daily community activities, health care services such as case management, mental health and substance use treatment, and assistance with housing.
